Roman Blind Workshop with Sharon Olin

  • The Fabric Quarter 88b Bailgate, Lincoln United Kingdom (map)

On this day and a half course you will learn how to create a true professional cascade Roman blind, almost entirely internally handstitched with no visible stitching to the face of the blind.

We will cover measuring your window space and calculating fabric quantities, headrails/pulley systems, child safety regulations and the importance of these and also different fabrics and the challenges they bring.

At the end of the course you will leave with a wealth of knowledge, a sample blind and course notes to enable you to create a professionally finished Roman blind.

All materials will be supplied to enable you to create a working sample sized blind of 60cm wide. If you wish to create a blind to a specific length, due to work space and time constraints Sharon would need to limit this to a maximum drop of 1 metre.
